The Design Aptitude Tests will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Design Aptitude Test (that) Prelims
Stage 2: Design Aptitude Test (that) Mains
The Design Aptitude Test (that) Prelims primarily evaluates each candidate on the following abilities:

Hi,
I would say there's plenty of time left for you to prepare for NID entrance. All you need to understand is that NID entrance does not entirely focus on design. It analyses your skills as a whole. You need to be prepared with some technical and general questions as well. The most important thing you must understand is that at NID, you're practically judged on the basis of your confidence and communication. The design comes afterwards. All candidates applying for Bachelor of Design programmes must fulfil the following criteria:
CRITERION 1 - AGE LIMIT
- Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years of age (relaxable by three years for reserved category) on or before July 1, 2016.

You can always apply to NID for an M.des course in the designing field you are interested in IF you for the eligibility criteria.

There is no syllabus for NID. IT consists of maths, reasoning, Gk and English and the most important is creative part.

I am currently pursuing my Masters in “New Media Design" @ NID and I have a lot of mechanical engineers as my batch mates.
Yes, there is an age limit of 30 years to apply for a Master's course at NID.
