National Institute of Fashion Technology will announce the NIFT 2018 cutoff, which is the section and campus-wise closing rank. Cutoff of NIFT 2018 will let the candidates know the ranks required for getting admission in the desired programme and campus. Candidates securing the required rank in the entrance exam will be called for counselling and admission procedure.
So basically, the cut off will be based on the total number of candidates appearing in the entrance test.
Total number of candidates who passed the entrance test.
Difficulty level of question paper.
Total number of seats for B. Design and B. F. Tech seats.

The seats reserved for SC / ST / Person With Disability (PWD)/ Foreign Nationals / SAARC / NR / State
Domicile, in each programme are as under:
SC - 15%
ST - 7.5%
OBC (non-creamy) - 27%
Person With Disability (PWD) - 5% Horizontal reservation for Person With Disability (PWD) (with 40% or more disability) cutting across all sections I.e. SCs, STs, OBCs Non-Creamy and General category. Campus and programme will be allotted on rotation, at NIFTs discretion.
Foreign Nationals/ SAARC/NRI - 15%
State Domicile - 20%
The qualifying candidates need to meet the eligibility and admission requirements of NIFT.
