For written exam, you can practice 10 year question bank of NIFT available at Amazon. You can join any coaching center for GD and PI where you will discuss current fashion topics on regular basis in a group.

NIFT is a private and fee depends on the course you will take but it will be near about 1 - 2 Lacs per year. For fashion technology course, you need maths as a compulsory subject in class 11th and 12th but for other courses like B.Des, you don't need it. Therefore, you can do it with humanities also.
