Interview to PG candidates who have passed the Stage 1 test in NIFT 2024 is scheduled from April 1 to April 6, 2024. Interview call letters will be downloaded by the candidates through their application number and date of birth from the website of NTA. The interviews will be conducted based on the programs opted for by the candidates and one must check the official NIFT portal for the updates or changes in respect of the schedule and procedure.

Applicants must first take a written exam (GAT) in order to be considered for admission to the MFM. candidates must show up for the written exam of the GAT. Based on the results of the written tests, these candidates will nest be shortlisted for a group discussion and personal interview. 

The admission process of NIFT Mumbai MDes includes appearing for the NIFT Entrance exam followed by the personal interview round. Candidates whose NIFT Entrance exam score meet the NIFT Mumbai MDes cutoff are invited for the interview round.During the PI round, a panel will assess candidates based on the following criteria:1) Career orientation2) Suitability for the course3) Overall academic and extracurricular accomplishments4) Communication skills5) General awareness, aptitude, creative thinking, and lateral thinking  

PG candidates will be evaluated on the various parameters as listed below by a panel, in the Personal Interview:Career orientation Aptness for the course Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities Communication General awareness, aptitude, creative and lateral thinking Candidates will be shortlisted for the PI based on their performance in the written exam - GAT (and CAT in case of M.Des program).Please note that NIFT reserves the right to modify the entrance examination scheme. This includes non-conduct of any stage (s) due to unforeseen circumstances.

Candidates seeking admission to the PG courses at the NIFTs need to appear in a Personal Interview after qualifying the written exam. The slot booking process for the Personal Interview will open soon after results of the NIFT 2025 written exams are declared. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the detailed schedule on its admission portal - niftadmissions. In. The slot booking process has to be conducted online. To book a slot, click on the relevant link, log in, and then select the campus and time slot from the available options. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Candidates seeking admission to the Masters courses at NIFT participating need to appear in a Personal Interview after qualifying in the written exam. The Personal Interview is conducted in an offline mode. The interview will evaluate the candidate on the following parameters:
Career orientation
Aptness for the course
Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities
Communication
General awareness and aptitude, creative and lateral thinking
Note that the Personal Interview carries 30% weightage.

In the scenario two or more candidates score the same marks in NIFT, then tie-breaker policy will be applied.The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For example, for the B. Des programme, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered.If tie is undecided, then subject-wise marks in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology declared the final results of NIFT 2023 online at niftadmissions. In. To check their results, the candidate needs to log in using their email id and password. Note that hard copies of the results will not be sent to the candidate. The result of NIFT 2023 is valid for the current academic year only. Using NIFT 2023 merit rank, the candidate can apply for admission to B. Des/ M.Des courses offered by NIFT 2023 participating colleges. Note that in addition to the participating colleges, there are many other design colleges that also use NIFT scores for admission to their UG and PG courses.
