NIFT Scores

The following is the selection process for any course at National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna:-Fill the application form from the Institute's official website with all required details such as 12th marks, address etc. After filling the application form, students will be called to appear for the NIFT entrance test. After the students qualify in the entrance test, they will be called for the final steps like counselling, Interview etc. After all the steps and fees deposition, the final admission will be given to the students. If we talk about the minimum marks required, the students need to qualify in the cutoff rank, the cutoff rank for B Des this year was 1692.

The following is the selection process for B Des at National Institute of fashion technology. 1.The students need to fill the online application form from the Institute's official website with all necessary details like 12th, 10th marks etc. 2.After filling the application form student will be called to qualify for the NIFT test which includes aptitude tests, group discussions etc. after that the students need to wait for the cutoff. 3.If the students qualifies in the cutoff, the NIFT counselling will take place. 4.After counselling, the students will be given the final admission. Talking about the minimum NIFT entrance marks required, it totally depends on the seats available, and the cutoff. The cutoff rank which was required for BDes in fashion Designer in 2023 was 1692. All other specialisations will have different ramks. 

The selection process for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) consists of two stages:Stage 1: Written Entrance ExaminationThe NIFT entrance exam is a computer-based test that is conducted in two phases:Phase 1: General Ability Test (GAT)The GAT assesses the candidate's general aptitude in areas such as quantitative ability, English comprehension, and general knowledge.Phase 2: Design Aptitude Test (DAT)The DAT assesses the candidate's design aptitude in areas such as creativity, drawing ability, and spatial awareness.To qualify for the second stage of the selection process, candidates must secure a minimum score of 40% in both the GAT and the DAT.Stage 2: Situation TestCandidates who qualify for Stage 2 will be called for a situation test. The situation test is a group exercise that is designed to assess the candidate's problem-solving skills, communication skills, and teamwork skills.Minimum NIFT Exam Score RequiredThere is no fixed minimum NIFT exam score required for admission to the B.Des program. However, the cut-off scores vary from year to year and from course to course. In general, a score of 70 or above is considered to be a good score for the B.Des program.The following are the cut-off scores for the B.Des programme in 2023:Fashion Design: 75Leather Design: 73Accessory Design: 72Textile Design: 70Knitwear Design: 71Fashion Communication: 74Please note that these cut-off scores are for the general category. The cut-off scores for reserved categories may be lower.
