It is very vast, lots to explore, and with many opportunities. It covers many sections in professional fields. It is like a jack of all trades, master of none. You have to basically focus on aesthetics and usability of the accessories you manufacture. It is consumer-centric. Accessories include a wide range, jewelry, luxury products, digital products, personal products, automobiles, handcrafted etc.
Basically product designing.
And yes it does have a lot of scope in the future.

Your B.F. Tech rank is applicable for B.F.Tech course only not for B.Des. courses. So you can not get B.Des on the basis of B.F.Tech rank. You have not write about the category you belongs, So the admission prediction is not possible. However on the basis of last year closing cutoff and if belongs to general category, your admission chances in B.F.Tech course are moderate.

The admission process of B.FTech and other UG courses is going on, hence no cutoff details are available at this moment. The cutoff details will be available once admission process is over. So wait for one more month for desired cutoff.

ROI (Return on Investment) is a bummer. It will take at least 3 to 4 years, maybe more, to secure the tuition fee amount hence setting off the cost of pursuing education at NIFT be it on loan or otherwise. The average pay scale post NIFT for all courses hovers in the range of 4 to 5 LPA with yearly variations. The center from which you're pursuing the programme is important for it may increase or decrease the uncertainty regarding industry opportunities (risk factor). These days, universities also offer the credit transfer course. Like if you want to go abroad fro higher studies abroad, you can take the credit transfer course of B.Tech in LPU where in due to the tie ups of the university with universities abroad you can do your first two years in LPU and the third and fourth year abroad and you will be awarded the degree of the foreign country university. You can log in to check this scheme from the website of LPU under the credit transfer schemes or check from the help lines given on their web site. Masters abroad scheme also can be checked. Similarly you can check from the website of NIFT too. A
