It is possible. Nowadays, fashion designing is indeed a great career option.Yes, you can join this course after B.Tech. Fashion industry is booming. No one can live without clothes right. There are so many jobs in this field apart from fashion designer. You can get into visual merchandising, fashion managing, corporate communications, sales and so on. If you are into only Fashion designing, then you need to be very creative. Basically, you should know the color schemes and how to play with them, min of stitching techniques, how, what, and why fashion is important kind of things.

You've two options. First thing is that you can take coaching classes for NIFT in your locality and on the other hand if you have the confidence on your learning then you can afford a guide that are specialised for NIFT (I personally recommend ARIHANT's guide) and do study on your own. Coming to consideration of subjects. You'll have to be good at quantitative aptitude. English grammar. Gk and current affairs and logical ability for the GAT. For CAT you just have to focus on your drawing skills and creativity.

Guide-Level 14

Hi,
The basic eligibility criteria to pursue a course in National Institute of Fashion Technology is successfully completing 10+2. Admissions are done on the basis of an entrance examination I. e CAT & GAT. After clearing, there is a situation test which is followed by a group discussion or a counseling session and note that NIFT changes every year the entrance exam patterns so you cannot find NIFT previous year's papers on any website.
