No, you cannot join NIFT Kangra for the B.Des programme without taking the NIFT Entrance Exam. The entrance exam is a mandatory requirement for admission to all undergraduate courses, including B.Des, at NIFT campuses. The selection process consists of two key parts: the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a personal interview (for certain courses). These assessments evaluate your creative skills, general aptitude, and knowledge in areas related to design and fashion. The exam is an essential part of the admission process, and there are no provisions for direct admission without it. You must

You should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board, or an equivalent qualification from a foreign institution recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates who have completed a 3-4 year Diploma recognised by AICTE or state boards are also eligible to apply. NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) generally does not accept direct admissions to the second year of its programs. NIFT has a structured admission process, and students are typically admitted to the first year of the undergraduate courses. The institute does not usually allow students from other colleges to transfer directly into the second year, even if they have completed one year at another design college. However, policies may vary depending on specific circumstances, and it's always best to contact NIFT directly for detailed information regarding transfer or lateral entry. They can provide clarity on whether any except

Certainly, you may proceed with the Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) in Mathematics and Physics after a Bachelors degree in Fashion Technology from NIFT. But, admission requirements for B.Ed courses differ from one institution to another, so you need to check those of the universities or colleges of your choice. In most cases, a general knowledge in the subjects you want to teach is useful, so some institutions will require you to have a degree in the said fields. If you do not meet the school's subject requirements you should take extra subjects or a degree in Mathematics or Physics. This transition might be useful in teaching, as you ca

A good NIFT score for BFTech is 100+ out of 150. If you score less than 100 in the NIFT entrance test, then the chance of you getting selected for the cut-off will decrease. As NIFTs has a very limited number of seats for BFTech courses. For instance, NIFT Delhi offers only 43 seats for BFTech program.
