Yes, you can get admission in the 2nd year of CSE at NIIT University, however there is a whole process to be followed to get it. Here is how you can get into NU after 1st year. One thing to know is that, lateral entry is allowed only after 1st year and not later. Applicants are required to submit:
Mark sheets and/or Grade sheets of the first semester or the first two semesters as applicable Copy of syllabus certified by college/university
Reasons for seeking lateral entry
B Tech Application Form via online or offline mode

In my personal view, I would prefer NIIT university over all these universities, for the below mentioned reasons. One of the added bonus is that of the NIIT legacy, belonging to the IT background, NIIT proves to be a strong backbone for NU. It has been in the software development and IT for the past few decades.
