National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports offers some mountaineering courses by which it has set its fees fairly competitive in comparison to most other institutes in India. For example, the Basic Mountaineering Course at NIMAS is for a period of 28 days at a fee of ?27,090. Likewise, the Advanced Mountaineering Course is for 32 days at a fee of ?30,010. Other institutes have almost the same fee structure. The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) in Darjeeling charges ?22,547 for a 28-day Basic Mountaineering Course. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS) in Himachal Pradesh offers a 26-day Basic Mountaineering Course for ?20,592. Overall, the course fees of NIMAS are at par with other mountaineering institutes in India, and thus not very expensive for aspiring mountaineers.  Hope this helps
