All colleges accept NIOS students and they are considered equivalent. NIOS has sent circular to every State Boards/Universities to instruct their schools and colleges to allow admissions on the basis of Marks Sheets and Certificates issued by NIOS. All schools/Universities have recognised NIOS certificates for admission purpose.

NIOS certificates are legally valid in all institutes and universities in India, as it is a board under central government like CBSE and CISCE. Though in reality it's seen that a few private institutes and universities deny NIOS certificate though they should accept it.

Yes. They do accept it. National Institute of Open Schooling is an organisation run by central government. They have complete authority to conduct board exam and no one can question their validity. The certificates issued by NIOS is hundred percent valid. Please check the below link for Univeristies in Australia for Hospitality Management studies.

HSC offered by The National Institute of Open Schooling is the board of education under the Union Government of India, so it is valid in all state of India.
