Hello!NISERs are not generally placement-oriented colleges. They prefer to give good quality education to the students. The course is structured focusing on a research career. However, the placements for last year were good the highest package offered was INR 15 LPA and the average package was INR 8 LPA. Almost 80% of the batch got placed. Some of top recruiters were TCS, Infosys, Defense Research and Development Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Labs, etc.I hope it will help. You can reach out to us for further queries.Thank You.

The cutoff marks for NEST are usually 80-90 for the general and EWS categories, while less than that for other categories .The cutoff marks for JEST and JAM are not explicitly mentioned by NISER, but they are used for admission to the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. program. The selection for Ph.D. admission is based on the overall performance and the marks obtained in any of the National Level Eligibility Tests such as NET, ICMR, ICAR, DBT, and GATE . The shortlisted candidates are asked to appear for a group discussion and a personal interview. NISER provides hostel facilities to its students, with separate accommodation for girls and boys
