Hi,
Your rank is less but yes you can try for the NITs there are less chances for admission in NIT, but you might get a seat in CSAB special spot round.

You already read about the placements. I would suggest you to go for GATE or prepare for non-core jobs. Masters + Ph.D is good option for biotech student.

One needs to take JEE (Mains) exam and either secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in class XII or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective class XII board examination.
