NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology Admission Process

Candidates have to score at least 75% (65 for the reserved categories) to be eligible for admission at NIT Calicut. There are different criterias for admission in different courses at NIT Calicut. For courses like BTech and B.Arch, candidates have to appear in the JEE main examination- Paper 1 and 2. For MSc programmes, candidates will be evalueted on the basis of JAM Score, followed by the centralized counselling process. For courses like PhD in various branches, NIT Calicut accepts entrance examinations like GATE/CSIR NET/UGC NET/ JEST/NBHM/KSCSTE and the Written Test conducted by the institute for admission.After the entrance examination score and merit, candidates are interviewed in several rounds before admission. To know more about the institute, candidates can refer to the official website of the institute or Shiksha. 

Eligibility:You must possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution with a minimum of:60% aggregate marks (or CGPA 6.0/10) for General/General-EWS/OBC-NCL categories.55% aggregate marks (or CGPA 5.5/10) for SC/ST/PwD categories.The primary selection criterion is a valid score in the CAT exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management.Selection Process:Based on your CAT score, NIT Calicut shortlists candidates for the next stage.Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview to assess their communication skills, motivation, and suitability for the program.The final selection is based on a combined score of your CAT score and performance in the PI.
