For 2022, the cut-off was 30647 for General category candidates in the All India quota for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology. For female candidates in the general category under All India quota, 42352 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The last year's 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology other than the General category are - 15898 for OBC, 44507 for SC, 46008 for ST, 13904 for EWS, 140 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 12119 and the closing rank was 17884. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 19345 and 26487. Admission to BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 26487 was the closing rank. BTech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The last year's 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology other than the General category are - 7949 for OBC, 361 for SC, 128 for ST, 6727 for EWS, 102 for PWD. There is no doubt that NIT warangal is better than NIT calicut. In placement, NIT warangal has more placement tha NIT calicut. NIT The obvious answer is NIT Warangal in terms of NIRF ranking or the opening and closing ranks of the college NIT Warangal is way ahead of NIT Calicut
