Candidates with a BSc or BCA degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics or BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility for MCA at NIT Calicut. In addition to this, NIMCET scores are required for MCA admission.Admission to NIT Calicut MCA is entrance exam-based. To get selected for the MBA course at NIT Calicut, candidates are required to qualify for the general eligibility criteria first that states, candidates must qualify for their graduationa and Class 12 with at least an aggregate of 60%. Additionally, candidates seeking admission to this course must apply and appear for the CAT exam in the first place. After the CAT result declaration, candidates must apply for an MBA on the official website of NIT Calicut. Lastly, students who got selected in the cutoff are required to appear in GD and PI.

NIT Calicut provides various safety and security measures for the students. For managing hostel facilities, two wardens, a caretaker, an office assistant and resident tutors are available in the hostel on all working days. Anti-ragging measures are strictly followed. The students must adhere to the disciplinary code, which applies to all activities/events on the campus. The security personnel ensures the safety of the residents 24/7. Some students review the campus as peaceful with a lush green environment, while others have noted the presence of street dogs on campus.

The eligibility to get admission to NIT Calicut for the popular UG/PG courses are as follows:For BTech: Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by NIT Calicut with a valid score in the JEE Main exam can apply.
