Hello Aditya, your ranking in JEE Mains is reasonably good at about 16900. There are about 50,000 seats in all of NIT's put together. Out of these 50% are reserved for different categories of students while for general category 50% that is about 25,000 seeds are available. In view of this I am sure you should get a reasonably good NIT with your ranking. To help you I am attaching a link that can predict which college and branch you can get based on your performance in JEE Mains. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-college-predictor
Best wishes to you.

Hello Himanshu, your percentile is tantalisingly close to the probable cut off. Of course actual cutoffs will be announced by the national testing agency in a few days from now and then only everyone will come to know certainly the different cutoffs that are announced for different categories of students. You will have to show patience till then and hope for the best. Best wishes to you.
