Your Mains percentile determines your admission and the board exam score is just an eligibility criterion. Since you belong to OBC, you need to have a minimum of 65 percent in boards. It's not possible for you to get admission in any of the NITs as there are only 559 seats in all NITs. In order to get admission in NITs, your AIR should be less than 1500. You can't even get admission in top government colleges. You have to go with private institutes with this rank where mostly free seat is not possible.

It's not possible for you to get admission in NIT Trichy as it is the Top NIT in India. You can take admission in other NITs like NIT Puducherry. To know in which other NITs you are eligible to apply, use the college predictor tool
