See being true no changes stand for NITs. And if by god grace you get any that will not be worth like if you got Nagaland and Manipur they may not be useful. Instead try for some State government Institution and Good institutions.

If you belong to state boards, then chances are there. For that you have to see the different state boards cutoff. But if you belong to CBSE, then you are not eligible for getting admission through josaa.

Hello, Hope you are doing well. Sorry you will not be able to get the NIT with the marks 53 only because it's too less and you need almost ranks around 20K ( approximately ) which is not yours. Try to get some private college and go for councelling. All The Best.

You might be having marks around 95. The chances are very less for a good NIT with decent branch. Use college predictor for this https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor
Moreover, you can go for top 6 to top 15 (in between). Do not opt for less than them. They are as same as local colleges.

Yes, you are perfectly eligible for getting into NIT's and other colleges which take JEE Mains as their entrance such as IIIT's, DTU etc.

If you belong to any category, then your category rank matters. You will get NIT Moreover if you have a benefit of home state. Just see through the previous year cut off and decide accordingly for your branches. But I think you will get it.
Good Luck.

Hello Rnjita,
For getting admission in best branches of top NITs, you need to score more than 180 marks i.e. less than 12000 rank in JEE Mains. Marks will vary as per your category.
All the best.
