After completing Diploma in mechanical, its not possible to admission in NIT second year.

It depends on your score, if you get above 100 score in JEE Mains and percentile below 75, you will get admission in NITs, but you can't attend JEE advance, because it needs above 75% in class 12th. Or your category basis.

If you are from OBC category, then there are chances. If you belong to general category, then chances are less or you may get NIT like Agartala, Shivpuri, etc. Work hard for Advanced.

Hello Mansi,
The admission at NITs is based on your scores in JEE Mains exam. If you have a good score, then you can get admission into NITs via JEE counseling.
