Hey Sai,
You are having an average score in JEE Mains, but this doesn't assure you of a seat in NIT. You may get a seat based on your category rank. However you shouldn't rely only on that. You should also apply for some best private universities having their forms open. Private universities also provide best infrastructure and equally good education with government universities. You can check out the placement records before taking admission. Below are some suggested colleges -

If you belong to ST or SC category, then you will surely get an NIT during counselling. If you belong to OBC category then you may or may not get an NIT. General category cannot get into NITs with this score.

It depends on the cutoff so you need to check the cutoff of JEE entrance exam.

You need to score 140+ in JEE Mains to get good branch at reputed NITs. Weightage of board marks depends on normalisation factor.

NITs take admission based on JEE Mains Score along with Board Percentage. There is no separate or direct examination for admission into NIT.
