The total tuition for the BTech course at both institutes is the same, i.e., INR 5 lakh. However, there is a slight difference in the total tuition fee for MBA and M.Tech courses. NIT Silchar charges a higher fee for these courses when compared with NIT Kurukshetra. Yes, NIT Kurukshetra offers various scholarships to its students. The closing rank for BTech in Mechanical Engineering was 29870, which is close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to NIT Kurukshetra - National Institute of Technology.

The cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra - National Institute of Technology other than the General category are - 34509 for OBC, 117417 for SC, 168997 for ST, 34352 for EWS, 1182 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in the JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 21615 and the closing rank was 29870. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 35959 and 41519. Admission to BTech in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra - National Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying for while checking for cut-offs.

For 2023, cut off was 45868 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Industrial Engineering and Management in NIT Kurukshetra - National Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota 49081 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
