NIT Mizoram - National Institute of Technology Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram are as follows:Academic qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 75% aggregate marks in Physics,  Chemistry,  and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised board.Entrance exam: Candidates must have qualified the JEE Main exam and secured a valid rank.NIT Mizoram offers admission to B.Tech programs through the Joint Seat Allocation Board (JoSAA) counseling. Candidates who have qualified the JEE Main exam and secured a valid rank can participate in JoSAA counseling to apply for B.Tech admission at NIT Mizoram.In addition to the above eligibility criteria, there are some specific eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PWD, etc.). For, Engineering courses, students need to qualify GATE exam and for non-Engineering courses, students need to qualify for the NET exam. However, one needs to be a graduate or post-graduate in a relevant stream.For Engineering specialisations, candidates must have completed their PG degree in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam or have a bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 70% aggregate and with a valid GATE scoreFor Science specialisations, candidates must have completed their PG degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on 10 point scale or 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam (No scholarships are awarded to these candidates)For HSS specialisations (Economics/ English), candidates must have completed their PG degree in Economics/ English with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 in 10-point scale or 55% aggregate in the qualifying examThere is a relaxation of 5% for the SC and ST category candidates.
