NIT Puducherry offers various specialisations under its M.Tech programme. Some of the specialisations are Mtech in Computer Science Engineering, Electircal VLSI Design, and more. For all the specialisations, the institute offers an equal number of seats, i.e., 10. Combining all, the institute offers 70 seats for the M.Tech programme.

NIT Puducherry has defined its seat reservation policy for admission to its M.Tech programme. The instutute has reserved a only 3 seats for admission of SC/ST category students to its M.Tech courses. Moreover, these three seats are reserved only under certain specialisations. NIT Puducherry accpets GATE exam scores for admission to its M.Tech courses. As per official sources, the GATE exam date for 2025 session is out. The exam is scheduled to be held from Feb 1 to Feb 16, 2025. To register, the students can visit the official GATE website.

The application portal for NIT Puducherry M.Tech is closed for 2024-25 admissions. The admission portal for the next academic year i.e., 2025-2026 is expected to open in the begining of 2025. Moroever, the institute has not yet announced the admission cycle for the next year. Thus, the last that to apply is not available as of now.

Yes, admission to NIT Puducherry M.Tech course is possible without taking GATE exam. As per an official document, on priority, the institute offers admission via CCMT counselling. To participate in CCMT counselling, students must have appeared for GATE exam.However, if seats are left vacant even after completion of all CCMT counselling rounds, then the vacant seas are filled on institute level. For allocation of vacant seats, the institute conducts a written test and interview session.
