The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is INR 49,500. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than INR 1 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between INR 1 Lacs to 5 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.

NIT Srinagar appears to offer better placements than IUST. NIT Srinagar has achieved a milestone record of more than 80% placements, with students from various branches securing placements in national and multinational companies. The average package is around 5-6 Lacs per annum, with some students receiving higher packages, such as 18 Lacs per annum in the Electrical Engineering department.
