To be eligible for a Ph.D in Management at NIT Surathkal, you typically need a Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD categories), and a good GATE score may be considered for direct admission; however, the exact cutoff for admission will depend on factors like the number of applicants and the quality of applications, and it's best to check the official NIT Surathkal website for the latest information on selection criteria and cutoff details.

It's true that there is a spike in the cutoff rank of the NITK Surathkal in 2023. As the number of seat allocation has decreased and the priority of the college and the course to be opted has increased. And an another reason as in  the previous times there used to be separate exams for both IIT and NIT, but now. there is a joint allocation of seats for the IITs and NITs so as seat blocking has spiked the cutoff rank to gain the students with great knowledge.
