With a rank of 7308 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, gaining admission to the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch at any of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) can be quite competitive. While your rank falls within a potentially acceptable range, chances of admission depend heavily on the specific NIT you are targeting, as well as its cutoff trends for the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) category. Generally, top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, and NIT Warangal tend to have higher cutoffs for CSE, often requiring ranks significantly better than 7308. However, mid-tier NITs may have a higher chance of

With an EWS rank of 57997 and a common rank of 377652, getting into a top-tier NIT or IIIT might be challenging, especially for popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).However, you still have a chance of getting into some NITs or IIITs, particularly for less popular branches or lower-tier institutes. It's important to consider the following factors:1. Branch Preferences: * Less popular branches like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering might have lower cutoff ranks, increasing your chances. * Consider exploring newer branches

It all depends on the specific branch one chooses, the goals of the academic courses, the placement records of the college, and, most importantly, campus preferences. IIITDM Kancheepuram specialises in design and manufacturing courses-a niche focus, whereas NITs have a broader reputation, along with established alumni networks. In core branches like Computer Science, some NITs may have more solid placement stats, but, when it comes to innovative and interdisciplinary programs, IIIT Kancheepuram is the best place. The institute to institute rankings, facilities, and industry connections will need to be compared for a well-informed choic

A rank of 1788 in JEE Mains with a percentile of 74.15% makes admission to an NIT possible but difficult. The cutoff ranks vary across branches and categories for different NITs. The cutoff for popular branches such as Computer Science or Electronics will be high, while that for Civil or Mechanical will be easier to crack based on the category and availability of seats. You should be alert to any changes in the trend pattern as reported in the counseling process (JoSAA) for your category and branch preference.
