In NITs, the Common Rank List (CRL) rank is usually taken into account for JoSAA counselling. Securing admission to NITs may be difficult with a CRL rank of 4 Lacs because they often have lower cut-offs. While SC rank may be taken into account for reserved category seats, it is still important to verify the NIT cut-offs.

You are ineligible for admission to NITs and IITs, JEE Mains and Advanced, and the West Bengal board if you failed Physics in your Higher Secondary (HS) test. The three subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics must be passed to be eligible for these tests and institutions. You have to pass your Physics exam, which you can do by retaking it or by taking extra tests. Following your successful completion of Physics, you can apply to NITs or IITs for engineering degrees by taking the JEE Mains and Advanced exams.

It is extremely unlikely that someone with an EWS rank of 107000 in JEE Mains will be admitted to a National Institute of Technology (NIT) particularly for mainstream engineering branches. The cutoffs for NITs are usually very competitive and even the lower-tier branches typically have much higher ranks required for admission. Admission to private engineering colleges or other universities with potentially more accommodating cutoffs should be seriously considered for a rank of 107000. Yes you have a chance to get admission in NIT with 83.9 percentile in JEE mains.Candidates generally having percentile between 85 to 95 gets a seat in NIT.

Yes, IITs offer some seats to sponsored students. Those students who are sponsered by their employer or organisation can take admission to M.Tech courses without attending GATE exam. However for unsponsered candidates it is mandetory to take GATE exam in order to get admission to M.Tech courses. It's doubtful that you'll get into an IIT with an 82 percentile in JEE Mains because they usually want higher percentiles. Nevertheless, depending on the precise cutoffs and available seats for certain branches, you might have a shot at some lower-ranked NITs or other government-funded technical institutes. You may also think about applying to other engineering schools that have their own entrance examinations or that recognize JEE Mains marks.
