For admissions into the top NITs, it will be advantageous if you score more than 90 percentile. Some NITs also accept students with 80 percentile and more. However, in order to have a higher chance of admission, you are advised to secure a good percentile score. These days the private universities too are offering an equal status of academic excellence. Hence first selection should be of a good college which is of repute so that it can give the best academic excellence in the form of best faculty who are there to help you.
