This is a good rank to get a seat in NIT. Based on your EWS rank, you may be able to get a seat in NIT Raipur or NIT Uttarkhand in the CSE branch. The JEE Main Cutoff for 2024 for admission to the top NITs varies for different categories of reservation. For example, the minimum mark to get admission in NIT through JEE Main for general EWS is 90 percentile. If you are interested in getting admission into the top NITs, you should aim to score more than 250 marks in the JEE Main.

An EWS rank of 3959 in JEE Main is good enough to get a seat in the CSE branch of most NITs, including NIT Bhopal and NIT Hamirpur. However, admission to NITs also depends on other factors, such as eligibility, reservation criteria, and seat availability.A rank of 3,700 in JEE Main is usually enough to get admission to top NITs in India for BTech Computer Science and Engineering. In general, candidates need a percentile between 85–95 to get seats in NITs. Candidates in the 98–99 percentile category are likely to get admission to all Tier 1 NITs.

Having an EWS rank of 8170 in JEE Main 2024 puts you in a favorable position for admission to several NITs. Generally, candidates with EWS ranks in this vicinity often secure admission in NITs such as Surathkal, Calicut, Warangal, and others. Yes, there is a possibility you can get NIT Durgapur with the rank you have mentioned. Still, you can look up the backup colleges in case you do not get admission here. NIT Durgapur admissions are primarily entrance-based. Candidates need to first apply online for the course of their choice. They need to register for the entrance exam required for admission to the specific course.

No, in order to be admitted to NITs, candidates in the General Category must achieve at least 95 percentile. To be admitted to NITs, candidates from the Reserved category must have an 80+ percentile score. So unfortunately with 70-75 percentile, you can not get into any NIT. The candidates are advised to visit: JEE Main Rank Predictor 2024: Calculate JEE Rank From Percentile/Score  to check for the college in which they are eligible.

If it is a general rank then you can not get in it, especially CSE branch You can't get admission only if you use the home quota other branch you can get at this rank. If it is your category rank you can definitely get an NIT college CSE branch with home state quota that offers. To check for the college in which you are eligible, visit: JEE Main Rank Predictor 2024: Calculate JEE Rank From Percentile/Score.
