Hello Madhulatha, I am afraid that you are quest for getting a Seat in the branch of CSE while having ranking of 35000 in JEE Mains examination is not going to be difficult. This is so because there are just about 40000 seeds in total across all the NITs and GFTIs and equivalent institutes. Out of these seats, the quota for OBC NCL at 27% will indicate that there are about 1600 seats for this category. In addition to this almost every student gives this branch as the first choice, and you have about 35000 students from OBC NCL ahead of you and finding for a very small number of seats. But then admission process sometimes throws up many surprising results and hence if you qualified the cut off percentile that will be declared by National testing agency then you must take part in the admission process. Else you can also think of taking 1 year off and utilising this time for concentrated studies so that by next year you would be getting much better ranking in JEE Mains examination and as a result you can get your decide branch. The marks that you are quoting must be found by you based on the answer keys uploaded by National testing agency. You need to wait for a few days before National testing agency declares the results of session 2 and also all India merit list that is the final result combining the results of both the sessions. Once you know this then you will be having your ranking and percentile both in the main list as well as in your category list. In addition to this National testing agency will declare cut off percentiles for different categories of students and only those students who have scored more than this cut off will be eligible to see admission in NIT or equivalent colleges and also will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced examination.
