National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) offers a two-year MBA course at the PG level. Aspirants get admitted based on a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) score. Apart from this, candidates currently in the final year of the UG course and having cleared CAT are also eligible to apply. To be eligible, candidates must have passed Undergraduate Degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 60% from recognised university. The CAT cut off 2023 for General All India category was 80 percentile. The cutoff for the past few years 2022, 2021 and 2020 have remained the same with 80 percentile.

IIT Dhanbad offers a four-year BTech degree course in Computer Science & Engineering. Admission to the four-year course is entrance-based. It is also one of the top BTech branches. As per the IIT ISM Dhanbad's past years records, almost 100% of students from the CSE department get placed.Ranking: IITs have a higher ranking and reputation among the engineering colleges in India and the world. Seven IITs are in the top 10 of the NIRF 2020 ranking, while NIT Trichy is ranked 9th among the engineering colleges and 1st among the NITs.

NIT Trichy cutoff for the Joint Entrance Examination is out for the year 2024. Candidates must note that JoSAA counselling for this year will be in 5 rounds only. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Trichy has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1205. In 2023, it increased to 1509. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2974 to 429 for OBC 61 to 268 for SC 11355 to 51 for ST 2142 to 241 for EWS 7 to 5 for PWDThis trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

NIT Trichy will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
