Based on the number of applicants applied the cut-off range for DoMS NIT Trichy varies every year. The expected cutoff are (For General-80 and above, OBC-70 and above, SC/ST-65 and above). The expected cut-off range may be reduced sometimes based on the number of applicants, but we are not sure about that. Yet there are maximum possibilities for you to get a call from DoMS NIT Trichy Admissions.

NIT, Trichy has been ranked one among the NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. You may get admission in all the mentioned institutes but chances for NIT-Trichy and NIT-Surathkal are somewhat higher than DTU.

For NIT Trichy, you should have a minimum score of 275 to get good branch. So, prepare yourself with this target hopefully you will achieve it.

Hello Kavitha, I am sure you would have obtained this percentile from the first set of JEE Mains conducted by NTA. Right? However be informed that NTA is going to conduct one more set of JEE Mains in the month of April. Results of both these tests would be combined to make merit list and associated cutoff. Due to this I would advise caution & patience. Wait till April to know cutoff. On the other hand you can think of appearing again to improve your percentile.

In fact, NIT Trichy is one of the best NITs, as far as the admission is concerned a min mark of 250+ is required for electronics, unless you belong to some reserved categories. You can check your eligibility on Shiksha's JEE Main rank predictor.
