You must get a rank below 700 if you are not from home state and below 3500 if you are from home state itself.

As ECE is one of the most sought after branch in NIT Trichy, 250+ would be a safe score as only JEE score is considered for the admissions now.

NIT, Trichy is the best option but if you want tag of IIT you can go for Dhanbad that is also a good campus. In terms of placement both are good. Many MNCs visit there and they hire those students who deserve better. But personally I suggest you to opt for IIT, Dhanbad.
