The CAT percentile that you need to get into NIT, Trichy is 75 percentile and above (for general category).
If the percentile is less than 75 percentile also there are chances of getting calls for GD-PI.
For graduation minimum of 60 percentage is required, which you already have.

I am so sorry to hear that. In NIT-Trichy admission is purely based on CAT score except for NRI admission which is based on GRE score.

You have to score 250+ in JEE Mains to be on the safer side to get your desired branch. The score can differ according to the branch you need and your category.

Yes, it is worth it. But if you are taking a drop year, your main aim should be the top IITs. After that, NIT-Trichy and Warangal are good.

Go for IIT-Guwahati. IIT-Guwahati is ranked 7 while NIT-Trichy is ranked 11th. Also IIT tag is more valuable than NIT tag.

To get a good branch in NITs you need to score 200+ marks
& to get any branch in NITs you need to score 150+ in JEE exam.
Further, the board exam covers 40% weightage and the rest is JEE Exam score.
