NMIT Bangalore M.Tech admission is entrance based. Candidates who have a BTech or BE qualification with minimum 50% aggregate (candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1 must obtain at least 45% aggregate) in the qualifying examination can apply for admission in the M.Tech programme. Further, candidates must appear for Karnataka PGCET or GATE (for admission through the management quota).

NMIT Banagalore offers three porgrammes at PG level. The admission to 50% of MBA / MCA / M.Tech seats is through a valid score in PGCET and the remaining 50% admissions are done through Management quota. AICTE has approved an additional 15% seats for foreign nationals/PIO/NRI/students whose parents work in Gulf countries over and above the sanctioned intake. Candidates who have passed graduation with 50% and for candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and category-1 with 45% are eligible to apply for the programme. Candidates who wants to apply must have a valid score in PGCET/ KMAT/ CMAT.

Aspirants who have passed Second PUC/ Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for candidates belonging to Karnataka SC, ST and other Backward Classes Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biology. A pass in BCA or Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering or BSc/ BA/ BCom with Mathematics at Class 12 or graduation level with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for Karnataka belonging to SC/ ST and Category-1) is required to apply for the MCA course. Candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility requirements and submit their proof of eligibility during the document verification round. Any candidate found ineligible during the verification process, will not be given admission.

Admission to Diploma is course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates who have passed SSLC or equivalent examination with at least 35% aggregate are eligible to apply for Diploma after Class 10 courses. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission.

Home State Quota and MNNIT Allahabad, these 2 phrases are not made for each other. Due to high number of JEE Aspirants from Uttar Pradesh there's no advantage of Home State Quota here. The opening and closing ranks of both Other State and Home State are similar for MNNIT. So, as a result of JoSAA 2018 I can suggest you must have under 25k rank to get a seat in MNNIT Allahabad (if branch doesn't matter). .
