Yes, the NLSAT exam has negative marking of -0.25 marks for wrong attempt. Unanswered questions have no negative marking. Candidates must select questions to solve very carefully in the NLSAT exam. They should solve only those questions which they know they can solve accurately.For every correct answer, candidates are awarded one markFor every wrong attempt, 0.25 marks are deducted from their total score No marks are awarded or deducted for questions not left un-attempted

Candidates were advised to prepare for NLSAT 2024 by following the simple steps given below:Make a monthly and weekly timetable and keep the syllabus handyDo not leave any topic, make sure you cover all the topics. Do try and finish on time so you have enough time for revisionPratice as many as mock tests possible. Practice the tests frequently and analyze it to recognize your weak and strong areas. This will help you to know which topic requires work.While attempting the question, try not make any assumption. Among all the books of NLSAT 2025 in the world, first, go for the NCERT books. You must complete all the NCERT books first before moving to other reference books available in the market. After completing the NCERT books, you can go for the following books to boost up your practice and concepts: Universal’s LLB Entrance Guide, Lexis Nexis, Objective Arithmetic, GK Today, India Year Book and Analytical, Logical Reasoning by RS Aggarwal,  Word Power Made Easy,  Verbal Reasoning by RS Aggarwal,  Manorama Year Book and Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey.

As per the NLSAT exam pattern released by the NLSIU, Legal Reasoning remains a part of the question paper along with Quantitative Techniques, English Current Affairs including General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning. If the exam authority decides to remove any of the sections, then it will inform the candidates in admission notification itself, so that candidates can prepare for the exam accordingly.

To check the syllabus the steps has been given below for the candidates: a) Go to the official website b) Go to the syllabus section c) Search for the subject d) Click on the link e) PDF will appear for the specific subject However, the NLSAT syllabus for all the subjects have been provided in the page above. The NLSAT question paper will include objective-type questions from subjects such as Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning Quantitative Techniques, English and Current Affairs including General Knowledge. The NLSAT paper for the LLM. course will have both objective questions from law subjects such as Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, etc. Generally, the questions are designed as passage followed by series of questions of one mark each. Candidates will have to attempt the questions by reading and interpreting the passages only.
