Based on the results of the CLAT entrance exam, NLU Assam grants admission. Registration for the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes at NLU Assam is done through CLAT. CNLU's official website is where candidates must apply for CLAT. Those who have registered must take the CLAT entrance exam in order to be admitted to the BA, LLB, and LLM programmes. Following that, in order to be considered for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes, candidates must first go through the CLAT counselling process. Candidates must accept their seat assignment in order for it to be confirmed; otherwise, the allocation will be frozen.

The median salary package is announced as INR 7 L for Nalsar and no information regarding the placement is yet published for NLU Assam.
