NMAT by GMAC registration typically starts in the month of August. Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions through NMAT 2024 can expect to apply for the exam until October 10. As per the NMAT examination process in the past exam sessions, GMAC conducts the NMAT exam from October 10 to December 19. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam thrice during this window. Candidates have to complete the retake registration to apply for another exam take.The retake registration commences soon after the main registration window is closed. If the trends are followed, candidates who wish to apply for a retake under NMAT exam process, can do the same starting October 11.

GMAC facilitates NMAT registration window once every year. Registration for the NMAT exam is accepted one time in one exam session. The allotment of exam slot and test centre is done on first-cum-first-serve basis.

That means, GMAC provides one main attempt and two retake attempts for the NMAT exam. The meaning of retake of the NMAT exam implies that any applicant can attempt the test thrice, including the first attempt. In other words, the process of reappearing for the exam is known as exam retake. Candidates aspiring for a retake attempt have to apply using the NMAT retake window. However, candidates can reappear for the exam, not before 15 days after the first attempt. Similarly, third exam attempt can only be scheduled on a date 15 days after the second attempt for NMAT exam.

Scheduling the NMAT exam refers to choosing a time slot for the test. Aspirants can schedule the test by paying the registration fee. Via the scheduling window, candidates can select the date, venue, time slot for the NMAT exam. Candidates can, however, reschedule the date using the NMAT rescheduling window if they, due to some unforeseen reason, are not able to appear for the test on the scheduled date. Besides the scheduling and rescheduling window, there is another provision available in NMAT known as retake scheduling and retake rescheduling. It implies that candidates can retake the exam, if they wish to, by applying for the retake exam schedule option. Similarly, the retake exam scheduled earlier can be rescheduled if the candidates are unable to appear for the retake exam on the scheduled date.
