The cut-offs of different colleges are different so once the colleges decide on the NMAT cutoffs they will officially release the set level of cut off individually. However, for reference purposes, they can check the past year NMAT cut-offs to understand the level of a particular college. The NMAT cutoff is usually released in the form of percentile. A percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates who scored lower than you in the exam. For example, if you score a percentile of 90, it means that you scored better than 90 per cent of the candidates who took the exam.

Information based on the NMAT sectional cutoff can help institutes to make more informed decisions about admissions. The sectional cutoffs helps ensure all candidates who are admitted to a B-school have a strong base in all of the areas that are critical for success in an MBA programme. The sectional cutoffs change from year to year. Sectional cutoff for NMAT depends on several factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, among other factors.
