The cut-off for last year was 137 marks in NMAT for every category. But, it varies every year. You can also appear for the Thapar entrance exam and get admissions.

For last 23 years, the cut off for shortlist has been around 207209, with sectional cutoffs around 5556 in Verbal, 60 in Logical, and 7274 in QA. A score >210 will give you good odds a getting a shortlist, >215 is sure shot at shortlist. However, for getting admission, only NMAT score is not enough.

There is no best institute for CAT coaching. Every institute teaches at its best. In the end, you have to perform well in the exam. As far as my knowledge TIME leads in CAT coaching.

All of these are Entrance exams to qualify for a B-School in India. There is not much difference when it comes to the syllabus or study materials for these exams. Preparing for one will prepare you for mostly all of them. However, the difficulty levels vary. For ex-CMAT and MAT are considerably easy in terms of complexity as compared to CAT or XAT. Also each college has its own entrance exam, like IIMS accept CAT scores, SIBM accepts SNAP XLRI accepts XAT. NMIMS accepts NMAT etc. So, you need to know which colleges you want to apply for to register for the respective exams.

Hi, Among the names mentioned, MAT is the easiest in terms of the level of difficulty of the questions asked. Its difficulty level, too, remains almost the same every year.
