Consider these tips and keep them in mind to crack NMAT-UG exam and study with hard work accordingly
Quantitative Skills - It will be a mix of DI and QA questions. QA will have questions from Algebra, Arithmetic, Numbers and Geometry. The questions will be easy but with a few tricky questions in between that makes it moderate level.
Logical Reasoning - Almost thirty percent of the questions will be on verbal reasoning (statement-conclusion, critical reasoning, strong & weak arguments, statement-assumption, course of action, etc.).
Language Skills - There will be a couple of passages. If you aren't very good and quick with solving RCs, do not attempt these questions first. Attempt the rest of the questions that will be basically on find the error (in a sentence), fill in the blanks (double, cloze, prepositions-based), jumbled paragraphs, analogies and antonyms, and synonyms.
Preparation - After reading this, I guess you can make a fair idea of how to prepare for it. Refer any institute's course material and with that, you might consider buying Sarvesh Kumar (Quantum CAT) for Quant and similar Verbal Ability Book.

The NMAT by GMAC exam is computer-delivered and gives each candidate a randomly generated test from a pool of questions, delivered one-at-a-time.

The section had at least one question from each topic under QA and DI. The topics covered include mainly arithmetic (averages, percentage, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, time and distance, time and work) and modern maths including Geometry, PnC Probability. Apart from it, there was a good balance of questions between data interpretation and data sufficiency. Overall, NMAT is a predictable paper. A correct attempt of 30 to 35 questions can be termed as a good score.
NMIMS selection process consists of two stages and has three components. Based on the performance in the NMAT examination, only shortlisted candidates are called for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round.

The scores of candidates will be equated and percentile scores are calculated after the completion of exam for declaring the final NMAT result. Check below, how the scaled and percentile scores are calculated.Scaled scores: The scaled scores are prepared after normalising the marks obtained by the candidates. These scores are equated to account any differences in the overall difficulty level. This process is applied to check the scores are comparable across the different sets of question papers.Final percentile: The final percentile is prepared after the candidates have appeared for NMAT by GMAC examination. The scorecard of NMAT sent to schools will be updated with the announcement of the result. For example, if a test taker is said to score 75 percentile, the test taker scored better than 75%ile of all the test takers who took the exam.
