Dear Akshat,
There is no restriction for open learning degree holder student to appear for management test. So, don't worry about it and just focus on studies. Do well in exam and you will get a good college for MBA degree.
All the best.

NMAT, the entrance exam for admission to MBA programme in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) will no longer be owned and conducted by NMIMS instead the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has taken over the ownership of the test. Now for admission to MBA programme 2016-18 in NMIMS, candidates will appear for 'NMAT by GMAC' instead of NMAT only.

Yes you can appear for NMAT. Once you qualify then they will call for interview. Chances are less that your HSC compartment will be a hindrance. They look for overall percentage.

Hi,
Scoring more than 95 percentile is not an easy task. The most important part of preparing is practicing. You must devote 3 hrs daily to practice quant, verbal and logical reasoning. Devote more than three hours if you are taking CAT This year itself. This is above and after your coaching class which you might be taking or will take.
Apart from all this, don't underestimate the power of regular tests and feedback. Take mock tests to know where you stand and keep working on your weaknesses. Pay attention to your errors and mistakes and work on improving them.

Below are some of the best bschools through NMAT:
TAPMI - Manipal
SIMSRE, Maharashtra
UPES Dehradun
XIME Kerala
IPE Hyderabad
BIMM Pune
All of these are good but if I've to choose the best then I would go with TAPMI & UPES. Both of these have good infrastructure, faculty, placements and industrial exposure.

NMIMS accepts only NMAT score. The cutoff for the same varies from year to year. IT generally hovers around 208 marks with sectional cutoffs as well.
The specializations offered are Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR, IT.
