The admission process for year 2018 has not been decided however in the year 2017 it was through CET.
Comparing colleges is subjective, choose your own judgement, but surely as a student of JBIMS I can say it is among the top colleges of India.

NMIMS Mumbai is one of the Tier-1 colleges in India offering a degree of MBA. MBA programs in information management integrate business and technology studies. Both institutes are premiere B-Schools of India. NMIMS is much known for marketing and JBIMS much known for finance. But MBA/MMS in any discipline from either institute is good. Both institutes are in Mumbai and industry exposure for students is good in both the institutes. Placements wise JBIMS has a slight edge (placement wise every major financial service company, major banks do come for placements with sought-after profiles. You might not get investment trading desk directly as compared to A, B, and C of the IIMs ) over NMIMS. With regards to admissions perspective, both the institutes have a very high cut-off in CAT.
