The eligibility criteria for PhD Management and Commerce programme offered by School of Business Management NIU is that the candidates must have a master's degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate and a bachelor degree with atleast 75% marks in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% marks may be given to candidates from SC/ST or EWS category. NIU does not offer any direct admission in the courses candidates have to give an entrance exam conducted by the college.

To be eligible for admission to the Diploma in Electrical Engineering at School of Engineering and Technology NIU. you must meet the eligibility criteria that is - the candidate must have passed the 10th standard with at least 50% marks. Candidates have to pass the diploma entrance exam conducted by the University. The eligibility criteria for LLB programme offered by School of Law and legal affairs NIU is that aspirant must have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. For this course CLAT, LSAT India, NSAT and CUET PG exams are accepted. Whereas, for the integrated LLB programme like B.A. LLB and BBA LLB the eligibility criteria is candidates must have completed their 10+2 with 50% minimum. Exams like CLAT and CUET UG are accepted by NIU for this program.
