The history of Northern Lights College traces back to 1974 when the provincial government formed a Regional Advisory Community to create a community college in Northern BC. However, formally NLC was opened in 1975 as a public college. A few other highlights of the college’s history are given below:In the year 1981, a new 14,000 square foot building is constructed in Fort Nelson. So, the applicants who have a good academic record have a higher chance of getting admission to this college. Northern Lights College Canada is a public college that grants Diplomas, Certificates, and Associate degrees. The college is also known to offer British Columbia’s the lowest annual tuition for the two year programs. Though the college’s origins trace back to 1974, it was officially opened in 1975. For 25 years, NLC has welcomed students from around the world to its campuses. These are also known as work study, direct employment training, and work experience.
