Northlake College is a community college and it does not have global rankings. The college is a part of the Dallas college system and Dallas college has been recognized as a STARS Silver Level institution by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). The campuses of Dallas College have won multiple accolades for recycling volume, zero waste, and waste minimization over the years. North Lake Campus has been awarded for Waste Minimization and Zero Waste.

Both the on-campus and online programs are well organized and managed to excellence.
