NSD Exam Eligibility Criteria The candidate must have completed his/her graduation from a recognised university from abroad or India. The student must have completed his/her 10+2 from a recognised board.The minimum qualification for inclusion in the proposed one-year course shall be graduation in any discipline or an equivalent qualification. Yes, there is a reservation criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non -creamy layer) /PwD and other categories in NSD exam. Out of 29 seats, 4 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes (SC); 2 seats are reserved for scheduled tribes (ST); 7 seats are reserved for OBC (Non-creamy layer as notified by the Government), 3 seats are reserved for EWS; and reservation for PwD and other categories, as per government of India rules.

Students seeking for admission in NSD are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying. The eligibility criteria to get admission in NSD is given below:
Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream from any recognized university or college.
Theater Work: Candidates must have participated in minimum six theatre productions.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum is 30 years as or on 1st July 2018. Five year age relaxation will be prescribed for the SC/ST candidates.
Language: Candidates must have working knowledge of English and Hindi.
Three recommendations from theatre Experts.
