From March 18, 2024, to March 20, 2024, 11:50 PM, the NEET 2024 application correction window was open. It was reopened from April 11 to April 15, 2024. The NEET 2024 application correction window was reopened by NTA on April 25, 2024, and ran until April 26, 2024, at 11:59 PM for the third time. Only the images might be altered or corrected this time. On May 5, 2024, from 2 PM to 5.20 PM (IST), 4,750 centers spread throughout 571 cities in India and overseas hosted the NEET 2024 exam. The exam was administered in 13 languages to over 22 Lacs participants. A rescheduling of NEET 2024 has been requested by a number of candidates and stakeholders due to many problems.

On April 25, NTA reopened the NEET 2024 application correction window so that photo adjustments could be made. The NEET 2024 application form can only be edited or corrected until April 26, 11:59 p.m. On April 25, 2024, the NTA reopened the NEET 2024 application correction window for a third time. The only area where candidates may alter anything was the photo field. Initially, NTA offered the NEET 2024 application correction option or the NEET correction window from March 18 to March 20, 2024, at 11:50 p.m. On March 16, the NEET 2024 application period closed. The application rectification window was reopened by NTA from April 9 to April 10, 2024.

As per the Supreme Court hearing dated June 13, 2024, the Centre said that the scores of 1,563 candidates who were given grace marks, are cancelled. They were given an option to reappear for the exam which was conducted on June 23, 2024. The result of this test willl be declared by June 30, 2024. The result for those candidates who will not be appearing for the re-NEET 2024, will be considered for that of the May 5 exam, devoid of grace marks.The NEET 2024 exam was conducted by NTA on May 5, 2024 in 571 cities across India and abroad. Incidents of wrong question paper medium distribution, paper leaks and proxy exam takers were reported in the media after the conduct of the exam. As of now, as many as 13 people have been arrested in allegations of paper leak. This led to unrest among the students and stakeholders and they are demanding for a retest. Moreover, after the declaration of the result, several anomalies were observed which again led to unrest among candidates and a demand for reNEET 2024 resurfaced. NTA formed a Grievance Redressal Committee which  reviewed the complaints submitted, and decided to reconduct the exam for 1,563 candidates.

NTA and UGC updated the guidelines for the UGC NET exam from the June cycle exam. The candidates appearing in the exam can check the latest updates by the Agency and Commission below:The UGC NET 2024 exam will be conducted in pen-paper mode (OMR) for both papers. The CBT mode will be discontinued from the NTA UGC NET June cycle 2024The normalisation of the UGC NET marks will be discontinued from the NTA UGC NET June cycle 2024The UG candidates with four-year UG courses can apply for the UGC NET JRF exam and the candidates who will secure 75% marks can enroll themselves in PhDThe UGC NET marks can be used for admission in PhD and no more separate entrance exams will be conducted by the universities for admission in PhD. The UGC NET marks will be categorised into three sections:Category 1:  Candidates qualified with JRF will be eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship, Appointment as Assistant Professors, and Enrollment as PhD scholar. Category 2: Candidates qualified for UGC NET will be eligible for Assistant Professorship and admission as PhD scholar Category 3: Based on the marks obtained by the candidates, the candidates will be allowed in the universities as a  PhD scholarNote: The candidates from Category 2 & 3 will have to go through an interview by the Universities to enroll as a PhD scholar. 70 per cent weightage will be given to the NET score and 30 per cent marks will be based on the interview. 

The National Testing Authority (NTA) does not explicitly mention the refund policy if selected test papers are reduced. However, the NTA has a refund policy for registration in certain cases, such as when a candidate’s form is rejected or if they do not wish to attend a meeting for which they have already paid. Refunds will only be processed if the candidate requests during the application process within the two months of the desired withdrawal. The NTA also has a disciplinary window before the admission letter is issued, during which time candidates can make improvements to their application. However, no corrections are allowed after the correction window is closed and all entries by the candidate are considered final. NTA advises candidates to keep certain documents, such as the confirmation page of the online application form, proof of payment, and photographs, for any future references or correspondence.
