The basic qualifications for B.Sc. Nursing is an intermediate/+1+2/11th12th with Biology as the background. If you have finished a normal B.Sc. And you want to do a B.Sc. Nursing, it really doesn't matter as long as you had studied Biology in your intermediate. But your normal B.Sc. Becomes useless if you join B.Sc. Nursing. It is like you are starting all over again.

Dear Akshita, Yes, you can get direct admission to those colleges or universities that take direct admission on merit or 10+2 marks basis or even just on the minimum eligibility criteria. However, you have to go through the entrance examination for those who offer admission via it. And the name does not have a role in the admission process. Good Luck!

The process of getting admission in a B.Sc. Nursing is both through entrance exam score and merit. However, top medical and B.Sc. Nursing colleges in India mainly consider marks scored in entrance exams. The application form for B.Sc. Nursing is mostly released between the months of April and June followed by the process of admission. Candidates who have qualified the eligibility criteria for the entrance test need to go through two steps before the final selection in B.Sc. Nursing colleges in India:
1.Filling out the online application form
2.Appearing in the entrance exam.
